BU Hosts National Broadcasting Society Regional Convention

Bloomsburg University hosted the National Broadcasting Society's (NBS) Freedom States Regional Convention this past weekend where approximately 125 students were in attendance from 14 universities along the east coast. The different NBS Chapters, Rider, Kutztown, SUNY-Plattsburg, and Monmouth University just to name a few, came to spend a weekend in Bloomsburg to learn the ins and outs of the broadcasting from industry professionals and to establish networking.

He leaves the shelter of the car for the dirty sand under the bustling boardwalk and the misty shower of the ocean. As the months pass, all he has is a blur of similar days and fragments of broken wine bottles and Salvation Army clothes surrounding his boardwalk space.

Campus Green sponsors Recycling Awareness week

BU's environmentally friendly organization Campus Green is out in full force this week. The organization has been busy sponsoring a Recycling Awareness Week this week on campus to teach students the importance of recycling. Students and faculty may have noticed the tables set up in buildings around campus hosting a collection of recyclables.

Great American Smoke Out Day at Bloomsburg

Annual Toys for Tots campaign spends another holiday seaason providing for needy children

Bloomsburg University is once again working with the Marine Corps in the annual Toys for Tots campaign, which starts every year in mid November until Christmas. It is especially important this year, as it is in memory of Cynthia Fisher, who was dedicated to this worthwhile cause.
