In "Campus must unite for change," (Sept. 30), Bob Buckheit, '09, writes, "We cannot remain stuck in the past. It is time to move forward as a unified and strong Lehigh community beyond the entrenched divisions that continue to separate us."The problem with this call for change is that the Greek/non-Greek division, or hierarchy, is strongly embedded in Lehigh's consciousness.

I guess by now I've come to terms with No Tray Day. I've gotten used to no more hot breakfast in the cafeteria. I've even come to like the new pop-up napkin dispensers.
But the past two weeks in the cafeteria have been utterly ridiculous. Because of "broken dishwashing equipment," we have been using Styrofoam plates and plastic cups for the better portion of two weeks.

The common consensus of pundits - conservative and liberal - is that the vice presidential debate Thursday was a tie. In light of the John McCain campaign's rapid loss of momentum, a tie means a loss.
The common logic says the Republican ticket needed a game-changing debate and didn't get one.
